Remove Wax From Your Carpet

Getting candle wax on your carpet is no fun. Even when you do get the wax itself up, you're often left with a stain that's hard to deal with. But, follow these three steps and your carpets will look like new again.
The pros overover the Family Handyman show us how to get rid of that melted candle wax, and the stain, the right way:
  1. Scrape up as much of the hardened wax as you can with a butter knife. Don't be afraid to get in there, but do be careful with carpets like Berber where the loops fray easily.
  2. Dampen a cotton towel, fold it in half, and place it over the wax. Press an iron set on high over the towel for about 10 seconds. The heat draws the wax up into the towel. Repeat this step until the wax is gone.
  3. Spray carpet cleaner on the stain that's left and rub it in with a spoon. Dab with a clean towel, and let the carpet air dry.
And it's as easy as that. Be sure to check out the post at The Family Handyman for more information.
